Try to know that why you are resisting:Resistance to change is actually very normal. Some reasons for it stem from how are brains are hardwired (the neuronal reasons); some stem from our psychological needs; some stem from our sociological needs; and some reasons are just that we might not like the practical effect a change might have on us.

Know what you want and what's the problem:The problem wasn’t that I didnt know what I wanted to do. It was thinking that I should know what I want.When I think I should know, I put pressure on myself. I feel stressed out, and I feel like I’m not good enough because I haven’t got life figured out.The solution was to see through what held me back from connecting to my heart, and to my desires.I did this by becoming mindful of how I was letting my fears dictate my life. I began to deliberately challenge my fears by taking action.

Deal with fears to build up skills:The only way to deal with fear is to face it. Avoiding it prevents us from moving forward—it makes us anxious. Therapists can be invaluable in helping us work through our avoiding strategies.
